I've been wondering if I'm able to start to dive into the open source code to learn a litle bit more about how LMMS works, and also to participate in the development and hopefully to solve some bugs, but in reallity it scares me a litle bit to dive in such a huge code without any orientation. My availibility is kind of limited, but I'm a good "general prrogrammer", and I enjoy solving problems. I can't promise I will solve / understand everything you ask, but I will do my best to help you. LMMS has been growing so much, and I've been wanting to give my own support as a programmer + music producer to make it achieve a larger audience. While not new, LMMS one of the more popular free DAWs currently available. ![]() I noticed an issue with the previous version when I used the note shifter in my keyboard with midi interface, but in the new one, I haven't found any critical issues so far. With such a huge selection of free and paid digital audio workstations (DAWs) to choose from, it’s tough to pick the right one for your needs. (Url: ) It would be interesting if Mac user can reproduce this issue.ĮDIT 2: I saw that some Linux distros also support sourround sound but in that case mostly PulseAudio? (Url: and ).The newest version of LMMS seems to be working really fine as far as I can tell. If I've choosen "7.1" (Windows 10 settings) but I use Logitech Gaming Software to get stereo sound, Jami still has this sound issue.ĮDIT: It seems that Apple devices such as Mac also allow to configure sourround sound. It should be mentioned that only the Windows 10 configuration seems to matter. Go to Choose your configuration and select audio channels that are NOT stereo (I think even Mono had issues? But at least 5.1 and 7.1). ![]() Go to Sound -> Playback -> select a playback device -> configure. You need to use a playback device that supports sourround sound It should even work if you use a virtual sound card like Voicemeeter Banana (Url: ) The audio driver has no effect on this issue #1401 (comment 37793). This (Windows 10?) issue persists at least since Ring 20180802183014: See: #1401 (comment 37311)Ĭredits: Thanks to Now we know why and how this sound issue occurs. I have tried exporting with and without using 'Enable Loop points' to trim off the silence at the end. All the tracks have some silence on the end. For some reason all the tracks have all been transposed. Everything I export is higher than it should be (musically). Newest update of this issue: The issue does not appear if you use Stereo sound: #1401 (comment 38096) Hey guys, I'm trying to export my lmms piece and am having a several issues. Now everyone should be able to always reproduce using the following settings: Update I was also able to reproduce this issue on Windows 11 22H2 if I used Voicemeeter Banana (Jami: Output device "voicemeeter input") and select 7.1 surround sound. It's just the speaker setup that causes this issue if you change the Windows audio driver during the call it does NOT matter. ![]() I've updated all Jami apps to the newest beta version (Windows 10 & 11 (Android-version does not matter)) The Qt5 'HiDPI' stuff is as described a 'free' benefit from switching from Qt4 to Qt5, so that is mostly addressed here 2108. Issue 455 has specific files that can be fixed right now to help support better font scaling and is a place people can help right away. So to keep it short: Just install Voicemeeter Banana (Url: ) and configure the sound device as 7.1, 5.1 etc and you should be able to reproduce this issue The font issues are mostly a duplicate of 455.
